Coachella Valley is referred to as the “Desert Empire” to differentiate it from the neighboring urbanized Inland Empire and the Imperial Valley.

The Valley also houses desert resort cities of Palm Springs and Palm Desert and is the location for the infamous Coachella Music Festival. What you may not know that in the middle of these buzzing cities lies a hub for renewable energy innovation.
